Our mission is to generate knowledge that supports the achievement of national transport policy objectives.

With climate change bringing increased risks such as floods, landslides, erosion, heatwaves, droughts, and fires, there is a significant threat to accessibility, safety, and infrastructure integrity, potentially leading to costly damages. Ensuring a robust, resilient and safe infrastructure amidst these changes necessitates mitigation measures to minimize risks.

Our research aims to increase knowledge of the impacts of climate change on the transport system, including its infrastructure, human activities and the surrounding environment. We investigate and develop ways to mitigate these impacts, and we explore the policy and decision-making frameworks required for sustainable long-term planning. This interdisciplinary research integrates several sciences such as environmental science, engineering, social science, economics, and law, and is carried out in partnership with various stakeholders.
